Christopher V. Fanale, M.D.

Christopher V. Fanale, M.D. is a board-certified neurologist specializing in stroke and cerebrovascular disease. Dr. Fanale is currently the Managing Medical Director of Blue Sky Neurology. He has also served on multiple state, regional and national workgroups focused on the advancement of stroke care using the platform of telemedicine.
He graduated from the MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine, in Philadelphia, PA, in May 2000 and subsequently completed residency training in Preliminary Medicine and Neurology at Hahnemann. He completed a fellowship in Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease at the University of California at San Diego Medical Center and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. He was instrumental in starting a telemedicine program to supply rapid, expert stroke care to patients in rural communities around the Rocky Mountain region in 2006.
Dr. Fanale joined Blue Sky Neurology in 2005. Since then, he has had a passion in delivering the most advanced stroke care to patients across the United States. He has a specific interest in optimizing stroke systems of care and the role that telemedicine can contribute to that initiative.

Nicole Kirkweg
Vice President of Operations

Nicole holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration with a focus on International Business from the University of Colorado as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Missouri State University. At CarePoint Health, where she manages the company's telehealth and neurology service lines, she has held the position of Vice President of Operations since 2018.
Nicole is a seasoned professional skilled in Portfolio Management, Financial Risk, Business Planning and Analysis, Operations Management, and Strategic Planning. She has a proven record of building and maintaining authentic relationships with both leadership and physicians and takes great pride in being part of an industry that makes a meaningful and tangible difference in people’s lives.
Jeffrey C. Wagner, MD
Associate Medical Director

- Board Certification: Neurology and Neurocritical Care
Dr. Wagner grew up in Oregon where he earned his medical degree. He completed his training in neurology and then moved to Utah, where he participated in telestroke care and started a remote telemedicine clinic for a correctional facility.
He is board-certified in neurological critical care. He specializes in nerve conduction studies and electromyography as well as being fellowship trained in neuromuscular medicine. At the University of Utah, he served as Director of the Neurology Clerkship for medical students and received the Neurology Faculty Teaching Award in 2009. Telemedicine and stroke care continue to be his top interests within neurology.
Chalita Atallah, MD

Chalita C. Atallah, M.D. is a board certified Neurologist and Epileptologist who specializes in Epilepsy. He is the lead Epileptologist and EEG Medical Director for Blue Sky TeleHealth.
Dr. Atallah graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in May 2011. He remained in Baltimore, MD to complete his Neurology residency and Epilepsy fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Since starting his Epilepsy training, Dr. Atallah has been involved with the Epilepsy Foundation and while working in Delaware, he served on the Epilepsy Foundation of Delaware Board of Directors from 2018-2020.
Dr. Atallah joined Blue Sky Neurology in 2020. Since that time he has helped the remote EEG reading program expand into new hospitals across various states and seen the group of EEG readers grow.
